Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Mid/Late May – Mid/Late August)
Location: Good News Childcare Center

Love summer? Love kids? Love Jesus?
If you're looking to create meaningful memories while having fun, this is the summer job for you! We’re looking for energetic, Christ-centered individuals to join our team as full-time Summer School Age Teachers, working with our awesome 1st and 2nd graders.

Our summer program is filled with adventure—weekly swimming trips, exciting outings, hands-on learning, and plenty of outdoor fun. This year’s theme is Happy Camper and centers on the Adventure of Life with God, with stories and activities that bring biblical truths to life.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create and lead engaging, faith-filled activities that spark learning, creativity, and fun

  • Actively engage with children during play, projects, and daily routines—be ready to get messy, laugh hard, and stay moving

  • Plan and lead field trips that enrich our summer experience

  • Build relationships with kids that reflect the love of Jesus

  • Collaborate with a supportive, encouraging team that values your ideas and input

  • Communicate well and bring a spirit of teamwork and service

  • Are dependable, energetic, and eager to jump into new experiences

  • Enjoy being active outdoors including swimming

Qualifications:

  • Experience with preschool or elementary age children in a ministry setting or a licensed/registered childcare setting

  • High school diploma or GED

  • At least 18 years old

  • Able to pass a background check (no substantiated child abuse reports or specific criminal convictions)

  • Physically able to stay active with children throughout the day, lift up to 40 lbs, and enjoy being outside for extended periods

  • Have experience with preschool or school age children
